Land Trusts
Purhcased sites are taken care of by Land Trusts. Land Trusts are non-profit organizations (Associations or Public Benefit Organizations), which look after the natural and cultural heritage of our country by having a long-term legal relationship to the sites of interest (as owners, long-term stewards or by collaborating closely with a site owner).
Land Trust movement is spread to many parts of the world. In the Czech Republic it is coordinated by the Czech Union for Nature Conservation. The activities of Land Trusts are governed by strict rules ensuring their credibility and proper care of entrusted land.
